Below are a few of the most frequently asked questions about the our eBook conversion services. If you have a question that is not answered here, feel free to fill out the contact form to ask us.
How much do you charge?
For fiction novels, our prices start as low as $50 and typically do not go over $100 unless the book is image intensive or more complex. A lot of services start their pricing at $100 (or more) and go up from there. We realize that no two books are alike, so every book is reviewed and quoted based on its length, complexity, and how much work has to be done. Estimates for non-fiction or reference books are not available as their complexity varies too much from one to the next, but we’ll gladly provide a quote upon seeing the book.
Quotes, estimates, and any questions you may have are free, and don’t obligate you to have any work done by us, so fill out the form on the “Quote & Contact” tab and compare our quote to someone else’s.
How much do you charge for corrections of errors I made but found after the conversion?
Nothing. We don’t charge for corrections or modifications so long as the amount of corrections are within reason (they almost always are) or it’s not a rewrite of a large section of the book.
How long does it take to get my finished files back?
Typically between 1 and 3 days depending on how many books are currently being worked on and how complex your book is. If you need your book by a specific date, just let us know when you fill out the quote form and we’ll let you know if we can meet your deadline (we can).
What formats do I need?
It depends on which retailers you would like to put your eBook on.
- Amazon will generate the most sales for your eBook, so you definitely want your eBook in the MOBI format. The final MOBI file is created using Amazon’s specialized tools and meets KF8 specifications.
- Our ePub files will pass ePub Check and are good for use on any retailer that requires the ePub format such as Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Apple, and almost every other retailer.
- Smashwords takes a specially formatted Microsoft Word DOC that their system process into multiple formats. In addition to selling your eBook on their website, they distribute an ePub, that their system creates, to multiple retailers including Diesel eBook store, eBooks Eros(adult), Baker & Taylor, Page Foundry and more. Smashwords also distributes to Kobo, Apple, and Barnes & Noble if you choose not to go through those retailers directly.
How long have you been working on eBooks and where are you located?
